As a classically trained pianist, skilled producer, and dynamic vocalist, LA based Anna Margo is on a whole new wave. She expertly layers soaring, pop melodies above icy, alternative, R&B beat-craft punctuated by virtuosic piano wizardry that instantly captivates. Growing up, the budding musician listened to the likes of Beethoven, Chopin, Bach, and Rachmaninoff as well as film and television composers, including Hans Zimmer and Ramin Djawadi. She studied powerhouse singers such as Aaliyah, Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. This dedication paid off as she gained admission into Boston’s prestigious Berklee College of Music. She introduced her signature style with singles “Place”, “Bad Friend”, “Know You” and “Something To Lose” accompanied by cinematic visuals, introducing her unique blend of emotional alt-pop.
That early work paved the way for her to collaborate with legendary producer, Timbaland resulting in the infectiously, flirty, single, “ My Way” released on Def Jam Recordings. The pair joined forces again co-producing the kickoff track track from her debut EP, If You’re Still There, the soulful track “You” which puts her stunning, soulful, vocals on full display and “Last Dance”, a seductive, waltz layered cut with dreamy, R&B vocals weaving throughout the track with Timbaland production codes in all the right places. With the EP release comes new sounds like the alt/pop gem, “Ghost” and the meditative/R&B cut “Breathe”. Wiith the release of If You’re Still There expect to hear much more from this new artist on the rise.
