LA-bred master of moody songcraft, Delacey, unveils a new era of music with “Man On The Moon,” out now. Serving as her debut release since announcing her signing with Photo Finish earlier this month, the haunting track was written by Delacey alongside Ido Zmishlany [Justin Bieber, Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello] and follows the heartbreaking story of a troubled relationship. Throughout the transcendent tune, Delacey’s ethereal vocals beckon to her emotionally-isolated paramour. “Man On The Moon’ is about feeling helpless when someone you love is hurting and not letting you in,” Delacey explains. “It’s about struggling with the vast distance we can feel in relationships that should be our most intimate.” The highly-anticipated release of “Man On The Moon” follows in the footsteps of Delacey’s acclaimed debut album, ‘Black Coffee’ (2020), which found Billboard praising her “unflinchingly honest approach to songwriting,” with others hailing her “steamy vocals” (American Songwriter) and “articulate production” (Earmilk). But the West Coast music maven had already begun making her mark in the pop genre through songwriting long before her debut project arrived – co-penning massive hits over the years for artists including Justin Bieber, Dove Cameron, The Chainsmokers, Gayle, Zara Larsson, and many more, which have not only racked up Billions of streams, but also lead to her earning her first GRAMMY nomination at the 64th Annual GRAMMY Awards (2022) and being named among Genius’ ‘Top 25 Songwriters of 2022.’ Earlier this month, she also joined an enviable and highly-esteemed handful of songwriters across the nation who have written a DIAMOND-certified single when Halsey’s “Without Me” – a tune co-penned by Delacey – became the 100th song in U.S. history to earn the rare RIAA certification. With more new music coming, Delacey is excited to take everyone on this new journey with her along the way.
