Delacey, the sharp-penned artist known for being a master of moody songcraft, not only announces her signing with Photo Finish Records, but also unveils the first taste of what's to come from this new partnership, as she teases her forthcoming single, "Man On The Moon." Serving as her debut release under Photo Finish Records, the ethereal track is due to arrive on February 17 and is available now to pre-save here.
"I fell in love with everyone at Photo Finish the first time I met them," Delacey explains. "I immediately felt a very strong sense of home and kinship, and I am beyond excited to have them in my world for this next era of music", says Delacey. "As longtime fans of her songwriting and incredible voice, myself and the entire Photo Finish team are thrilled to be working with Delacey," says Founder/CEO of Photo Finish Records Matt Galle. "When we first heard this new music she created, our team was completely unanimous in our excitement to partner with such a talented artist. I can't wait for everyone to hear these songs and see the visuals that moved us all."
The highly-anticipated release of "Man On The Moon" follows in the footsteps of Delacey’s acclaimed debut album, 'Black Coffee’ (2020), which found Billboard praising her "unflinchingly honest approach to songwriting," with others hailing her "steamy vocals" (American Songwriter) and "articulate production" (Earmilk). She had begun making her mark in the pop genre through songwriting long before her debut project arrived – co-penning massive hits over the years for artists including Justin Bieber, Dove Cameron, The Chainsmokers, Gayle, Zara Larsson, Demi Lovato, and many more, which have not only racked up Billions of streams, but also lead to her earning her first GRAMMY nomination at the 64th Annual GRAMMY Awards (2022) and being named among Genius' 'Top 25 Songwriters of 2022.' Earlier this month, she joined an enviable and highly-esteemed handful of songwriters across the nation who have written a DIAMOND-certified single, as Halsey's "Without Me" – a tune co-penned by Delacey – became the 100th song in U.S. history to earn the rare RIAA certification. The 2.17 release of “Man On The Moon” is just the beginning of what’s to come in 2023 for Delacey.
